THE HEALING FREQUENCY OF NATURE - AND IT’S FREE!
I love the complex and nuanced energetic fields of Ayahuasca with awestruck enthusiasm. I’m not surprised people are intrigued by this work and pulled in to discover more about the hidden parts of themselves.
I am however surprised by how much people pass up on the basic fundamentals of nature as a medicine for their well being. Sunlight, fresh air, movement and the sights, smells and frequency of the forest carry such a regulating medicine attuned to our biology. The power of this feels too often overlooked.
We’ve had an explosion in wellness over the last decade with so many modalities on offer it makes my head spin. This trend coincides with a generation that shuns alcohol and other harmful recreational activities in pursuit of much more nourishing experiences.
Biohacking, co regulating, Ayurvedic, holistic, somatics, fasting, yoga, energy healing, plant medicine… and on and on it goes. Everything with an early bird discount code or numerological price tag. It’s kind of wonderful if somewhat borderline extra at times to see people caring about their mental, spiritual and emotional well being. And no shame in an early bird discount, we’ll be doing one in January for 2026.
So what’s my point?
I feel like the foundational relationship with nature and all the free blessings it has to offer us is somewhat missing for people. And within all the influencer noise, bio hacking and marketing, it’s easy enough to miss and forget how healing the frequency of nature is.
Our retreats are blessed with many things but one of them is the frequency and healing power of primary rainforest. To soak up the vibration is to connect your body to a rhythm so ancient and powerful it will soothe and massage every trivial mini drama into submission.
That frequency is everywhere and is accessible even for people in cities just a short car or train ride away. Whenever pressure builds and the mind’s troubles send tension and hormonal disruption through our systems, it’s time to go outside.
To move, to walk, to swim… to sit under a tree and watch the grass sway in the breeze. To feel the sun on your back, the wind on your skin, the rain on your face. To electromagnetically reset the system. To allow our mind’s troubles to run themselves empty. To feel our place in nature, with god in our wholeness. To laugh at the passing nature of our problems.
As we immerse in nature our perspective shifts to something timeless, something without deadline or the need to achieve something beyond ourselves. We come home to reality in its truest form. Not the fleeting dramas of human society that will be gone and forgotten to the sands of time.
I see it dismissed and overlooked all too often in favour of expensive and sometimes harmful treatments. Dismissed in favour of chasing an outcome that will never exist.
In Japan doctors have been prescribing forest bathing since the 1980’s. A look back at hospitals, pre medical industrial complex, will show sun rooms, open windows , natural linen sheets and green spaces where people can gather.
Maybe the tide is turning, with the holiday season upon us I think it’s a great time to evaluate how much time we spend in nature and how connected we feel to the flow of water and song of the wind. When it all feels a bit too much, it might be time to go and speak with nature. The trees and plants will always be happy to see you.
