There are a number of ways in which you can take part in a master plant dieta or a dieta suave with us.
We hold online group dietas with small groups of six or fewer at set times throughout the year with a pre selected choice of plants, over the period of a month - these are called Dieta Suaves or Soft Diets. We also hold private online dietas with individuals, with plants of their choice at a time convenient to them.
Our in person dieta offering is a tailor made experience, staying at our home in the jungle, on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. This can be done in isolation or with limited interaction and can be combined with private Ayahuasca ceremonies. These follow the more traditional method of a Master Plant Dieta.
WHAT IS A MASTER PLANT DIETA?
A master plant dieta is a spiritual, educational and medical practice used by indigenous people from the Amazon region. It is used by traditional healers to further their knowledge and training with working with medicinal plants. It is typically carried out in isolation, with no outside interactions and a very basic diet.
Master Plant dietas can become anchors to our lives, where we create an intentional and dedicated connection to the spirit of a plant. Through this process, we become open to the teachings and wisdom of the plant we are working with, and integrate those lessons into our lives.
The dieta teaches us discipline, respect and how to cultivate a healthy relationship with our egos. In a world where our brain is looking for cheap dopamine thrills, escapism and avoidance, master plant dietas bring our focus back to ourselves. HOW DOES THE ONLINE DIETA SUAVE WORK?
CHOOSING A PLANT TO WORK WITH
We have a schedule of online dieta suaves that take place throughout the year. You may find that a new specific plant is calling to you to work with it or you may already have a relationship with a plant that you would like to deepen the connect with. If we are not offering a plant on the group diet schedule that you want to work with, we can offer a private online diet.
We provide a detailed guide on what the diet entails, how to work with the plant, restrictions, food and navigating the diet. Our first weekly call will go into detail about the diet before it officially opens. There is no need to start early preparations for the, we would suggest eating clean and cutting out things like alcohol, other plant medicines and caffeine three days before the starts.

Our weekly group calls (5 in total) provide a space for sharing insights and lessons from the dieta, and help to integrate them into our daily life. It is a supportive tool to help make sense of the experience and be held in community with the other dieteros.

Closing & integration
We will maintain the energetic container of the diet throughout, ensuring connections are clear and clean, providing guidance where necessary. Around week 3-4 we will close each individual diet in collaboration with the dietero, with the final integration call taking place at the end of the diet.

Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca is a drink made by brewing two plants, one is the ayahuasca vine (banisteriopsis caapi) the other is the Chacruna leaf (psychotria viridis). The two work symbiotically to bring in the medicinal effects of the Ayahuasca brew.
This medicinal experience will often include visions and communications from the plants and can sometimes be very intense. This is why Ayahuasca is normally taken within the ceremonial container where due care and guidance can be given.
Every experience is different and there is no possibility of predictability with this plant. We honour its power and have spent many years building a trusting relationship, learning how to guide with this medicine.
MASTER PLANT, TEACHER, TREE OF LIGHT
Noya Rao
The tree of Noya Rao, also known as Palo Valiador or the tree of light has been described as God’s tree or second only to God. There are only a handful of these trees in existence and their whereabouts are closely guarded by the Shipibo people who are deeply connected to the tree.
As the leaves fall to the ground they light up with a bioluminescence hence as the name suggests. The majesty of this tree is hard to put into words and we do not presume to understand her power or ways. All we know for sure is that she is a force for truth and goodness with uncompromising standards.
Although we do not offer Noya Rao during retreats, she is a guiding force for our work and in our lives. It is a great responsibility and honour to have her presence in our ceremonies. Noya Rao sets a standard of impeccability that we work towards and we continue our studies with this tree and its lineage.

Bobinsana
Known as ‘sirenita’ the little mermaid and a close ally of Noya Rao, the Bobinsana tree is unwavering in her guidance on self love. She is an ardent shadow worker willing to plumb the depths of our unconscious and bring forth the unseen menaces that block our connections and flows.
Beautiful in many ways, her bright pink flowers always stand out in a crowd. On a physical level it can relieve arthritis, rheumatism, musculoskeletal pains, edema/oedema, and uterine disorders. We frequently work with her powerful energy in ceremony.

Indricana
This is the name we use for the Cannabis plant, given to us by the Cannabis plant. We have a deep reverence for Indricana and stand ready to support this plant on its journey from recreational use and abuse into a more healing and ceremonial capacity. We have been blown away by this plant's depth and healing qualities over the years and currently we are exploring avenues to bring her to people in a healing modality.

People continue with their everyday life, work and family whilst dieting the plants, following the restrictions as laid. People consume the plant usually as a tea in the morning and before bed, meditating & journaling every day to tune in and record feelings, thoughts and dreams.

Safety guides everything we do. We will speak to each person ahead of the diet to ensure there are no contradictions with their health and the plant they are dieting. We also don’t work with psychedelic plants on the dietas and we offer 121 support throughout the diet. If participants intentionally break their diet there can be serious health implications so we ask for transparency and honesty throughout.

We keep each online group dieta purposefully small, with six or fewer participants.

Each plant has its own restrictions & these will be communicated directly to the individual & agreements made by both parties. Things to Avoid: pork, red meat, caffeine, salt, spices, processed food, alcohol, recreational drugs, fermented foods & drinks, refined sugar, dairy, sex, violent media & other plant medicines. big gatherings of people and intense spaces such as bars/ restaurants are to be avoided too. Making space to diet is important.

There is areal time aspect to the learning that takes place as the plant is with you in your everyday life. Integration is therefore integrated into the diet as it happens. It enables us to really feel and connect with our emotions as we don’t have our usual distractions and crutches. The plant imparts its wisdom and teaches how to approach life in a more aligned & peaceful way. Helping us to see our own shadows, patterns, traumas & beliefs that are limiting our capacity to lead fromn a place of love.
